My decades long love of art experimentation has involved mixed media, multi-process projects, and has often lead to beautifully unexpected results. My current love is for copper, flame, and acid.
Raw Copper panels are flame painted to create background colors, various methods are used to apply acids, and organic shapes are left to surface. The beginning is similar to seeing images in clouds, with the emerging forms developed through painting along with additional applications of acid. The fun is in starting without a plan, and discovering the wildlife images as they appear.
